Hey man I started polishing my P/s bracket by sanding it down..then I used just regular car polishing compound..then today I used tripoli with a 4" sisal buff now what do I use I bought jewlers rouge as well can I use the same wheel with the jewelers rouge? The wheel edge is black from the nickel Im assuming, or should I go to a softer or new sisal wheel ? because it is leaving little lines in the metal but its mirrored now

I would go with a white rouge stick and a nice cotton sewn buff..I like the 3" ones on a 1/4 arbor for a hand grinder. You can use the "blackened" wheel, just make sure to load it up with rouge. Try the jewlers rouge and see how you like the finish...back and forth or up and down only..not both, you want the abrasion lines uniform as possible. If you're not happy with the jewlers rouge then just grab the white rouge.

Actually-You need to sand it dude, 80 grit, 150, 220 and then
i would say upto 320 grit and the hit it with tripoli and then finally white rouge. Should be good to go then.

its already polished to a mirror finish it just has some swirl marks in it that seemed kinda rough otherwise its shiny

Live with the shiny and be done with it. Swirl marks-Take the piece and use a brillo pad in water and re-polsih it-Should 2x as shiny without the swirls.

I have a question for you guys..

HOW THE HECK do you get water spots out of your polished peices? MY p/s bracket and belt tensioner are polished and every time it rains or i wash the car they get water spots on them (my new welds also do this). I've tried mothers mag and alluminum polish as well as some other new polish for alluminum and it just doesn't take out the water marks.

I've even tried hitting them with white rouge again to no avail.

PLEASE HELP ME STAY BLINGIN!!!lol
