I have a 87GT with a SD set up still on it. Can you run 24lb injectors on a SD car without any real problems? I have a Kirban FPR so the pressure can be adjusted and a 190lph pump. What about chips, does that help? I also have a Mass Air computer and harness out of a 89GT (not installed yet and I was told 89 is the year harness to get) but my car isn't equipped with cruise. Is it really worth trying to get the larger injectors to work on the SD or install the Mass Air and get the dsm (correct me if I'm wrong) switch installed to compensate for the non cruise? And isn't there some fuel bypass you need to do as well on the Mass Air swap? I guess I'm looking for my best way to cure the potential fuel problem of approaching 300+ hp. I'm not planning on going with power adders, just naturally aspirated.

I know but the whole not being a cruise control car and needing to wire up the sensor to the tranny and something about a fuel relay switch has put a damper on the conversion. I've had the pieces for over a year now, I even have a stock mass air sensor.

You dont need the vss hooked up. I converted my 87 to maf and i didnt hook the vss up and I dont have cruise. I havent had any problems. Dont sweat it. The fuel relay is under the seat. You just run a wire over to the relay and tap into the correct wire so the eec knows the power is on. Not a big deal. Just follow the directions and solder the wires.

But to answer your question you can run 24# injs on sd. I ran my combo on sd for a long time and the swapped to maf.

Feel like a road trip to NH . The only problem is that it's not a kit so no instructions. It's out of a 89 mass air stang, the computer and harness.

Jump on ebay and buy one of those 30.00 conversion harnesses. It comes with the instructions and all. Its easy to follow and only takes 1-2 hrs. I did mine is 1.5 hrs. Thats the best way to do the swap. Its simple and it comes with all wires needed.

One of those things don't actually take the place of the harness from a donor car if you happen to have just a MAF meter and the A9l does it?
