I just purchased a set of front brake hoses and after I put the banjo bolt through the line and match it up against the stock hoses the new banjo bolts are around 1/4" shorter. Does anyone think this will be a problem because the bolt will not protrude as deep into the caliper? Also they say to torque to 14 Ft. Lbs and the Ford Service manual say 30-40 Ft. Lbs, which one is correct?

Go with the 14 lbs that the MM hoses say. They're built to different tolerences and no it is not a problem that they are shorter. The MM stuff is engineered to better specs than the ford OEM stuff.
They do look very well engineered, it just makes me a little nervous that they will only stick in the calipers about 1/4" instead of the factory bolt sticking in 1/2". Thanks!
