Maximum Motorsports or Steeda SFC's?

I have been going to the track once every month now since the weather is good doing three to five runs each time.I have not bought subframe connectors yet unfortunately.I don't want to ruin my torque boxes.I would like to get subframe connectors before my mustang drives sideways lol.I noticed on Maximum Motorsports site it says they are always improving
the design and quality of their subframe connectors so I made a new thread.I have a 1996 Ford Mustang GT and the instructions to install Maximum Motorsport or Steeda subframe connectors say that you have to make modifications to the transmission cross member on the 96-98 Cobra's.
They have a T-45 transmission just like I do.Is the transmission cross
member is same design on my 1996 Ford Mustang GT as 96-98 Cobra's?
If so what modifications does it entail and how long does it take to do?
I'm looking to really stiffen up my chassis as I have some shakes and
rattles in my car.What subframe connectors would be best to get for
drag racing out of the two? Witch one has the best quality and design?

I see the Steeda subframe connectors include torque box
reinforcement plates.

Both will work about the same. About any full-length subframe connector will be roughly in the same neighborhood. The guy that installed my steeda sfc's really like that they had drains so that they wouldn't rust and liked the weld points on them, but he didn't like the powercoating because it took longer to put them on. The steeda subframe connectors really tightened up the stang a good amount.... so much so that my wife sitting in the passenger seat said she wanted some for her 2010.

Yeah I figured they were about the same material wise.
In my research I have found people only have positive comments
about both the MM and Steeda subframe connector kits.

you cant really go wrong with either one. both are great companies

steeda is a little bit more expensive...you can buy MM for 118 bare and paint them for another 5 bucks and save yourself some money... thats about the only difference... why spend $40-$50 more for powder coating you will have to sand off when you can buy a can of paint for $5 or less?

i bought a can of BBQ Grill paint..worked great and has stood up very well so far... go with the MM subframes

All great info guys, but what does the modifications to the t45 crossmember include? i have a 98 cobra and was wondering the same thing about this?? can anyone help?? I'll probably go with the steedas but was wondering how much work was intailed w the crossmember mods?
