Just wondering what rpm you guys think is best to launch a bolton 5 spd 5.0 (in sig) with 2:73's? i know i should be on the edge of spinning, but i've never been to a track, and i've never really practiced launching from a dead stop on the street.... tried today but roads are kinda wet so............ whaddya figure's a good starting point? if i go, it'll be tomorrow (fri. evening), so quick reply's are appreciated..... i want to get a 1/4 time with 2:73's and then one after my 3:73's (installing next week)

ive never run a car at the track with 2.73s but just start a hair above idle and work your way up...this is assuming your gonna be on street tires.

I'll lend you my slicks... dump it off the rev limiter!

Ok don't! But hopfully it wont be too nuts there and you can get a bunch of runs in and find the sweet spot for what your car likes... That or I will volunteer to try to find the right number! Bwahahahahaha

Best bet for street tires is to have ur foot just on the gas, mainly so u wont get excited at take off and hammer it harded that needed. Sit at the tree at no more that 1k. With ur foot on the gas, on the 2nd yellow light lift the clutch and put pressure on the pedal. Add or remove depending on tirespin felt. Takes some practice but I was able to pull 1.95 60's on street tires with 4.30 gears.

Good luck and let us know the out come.
