I have an issue I bought a McLeod clutch 75004. For my 2001 mustang Bullitt. And the pressure plate fingers look way too close to the clutch disc. Only .660 and the measurement between the crank hub and the pressure plate fingers is 2.235. Just seems way too close to me?
For a normal installation, the clearance between the fingers and the pressure plate when assembled should be almost none, or none. This means the entire force of the pressure plate is compressing the disc between the plate and flywheel. It appears there is considerable clearance between the fingers and pressure plate housing (red). One thing which could cause this is a too-thick disc. Sorry I can't help more. imp
