In one word:
"MAC" axleback mufflers give you that BIG BLOCK sound you are searching for...
I had them on my 2005 GT and I "woke the dead" with them...
Had to change to Zoomers because the sound was so loud and mean that I scared little kids, small animals, made car alarms go off, and of course made the local fuzz sit up in their seats...

Well, I told you how much I liked my SLP. My $1000 exhaust set up is about to be even more expensive. After I left the post last night I went to go run some errands. I hit a HUGE speed bump, short in width but tall. It was the same color as the road and I could not see it until I hit it. I bottomed out pretty hard, really pissed! I got out and looked under the car and eveything looked okay. 5 minutes later my service engine light came on. I ran over to autozone and had them read the code. My cats are a failure. This morning I jacked it up and took a look. Both of my cats have small scratch where they hit. The damn bricks inside the cats are broke. I think its going to be another $400 just for the cats.![]()
Take em off, hollow them out, and put them back on.![]()
I wanted to do off road but we have emissions in Dallas, TX. With my last mustang, I had a Mac Off road prochamber. I would have to swtich back and forth between that and the stock H once a year to get it inspected. I spent more money on the catted X this time so I would have the incovience during inspection time and I knew it would sound a lot better than the stock one.
Pypes off road H, $169, tucks up under the car better than the Bassani also.
