Hey Guys, does anybody know what is the meanest and loudest exhaust setup for the 05-07 mustangs. I know that flowmaster is good but I was thinking of slp. Anybody got any good combos. All advice, opinions, and imput that you can give.

Personally I think the Bassanni and SLP are the two best out there right now. I don't care for the flows

In one word:

"MAC" axleback mufflers give you that BIG BLOCK sound you are searching for...

I had them on my 2005 GT and I "woke the dead" with them...

Had to change to Zoomers because the sound was so loud and mean that I scared little kids, small animals, made car alarms go off, and of course made the local fuzz sit up in their seats...

Well, I told you how much I liked my SLP. My $1000 exhaust set up is about to be even more expensive. After I left the post last night I went to go run some errands. I hit a HUGE speed bump, short in width but tall. It was the same color as the road and I could not see it until I hit it. I bottomed out pretty hard, really pissed! I got out and looked under the car and eveything looked okay. 5 minutes later my service engine light came on. I ran over to autozone and had them read the code. My cats are a failure. This morning I jacked it up and took a look. Both of my cats have small scratch where they hit. The damn bricks inside the cats are broke. I think its going to be another $400 just for the cats.

Take em off, hollow them out, and put them back on.

On my '92, my bro-in-law and I took the factory H pipe off and busted all the insides out of all 4 cats with old metal brake lines.

I would say Ford GTA's, hard to beat 50 state legal.

I also heard them next to Corsa, GTA sounds way better.

I wanted to do off road but we have emissions in Dallas, TX. With my last mustang, I had a Mac Off road prochamber. I would have to swtich back and forth between that and the stock H once a year to get it inspected. I spent more money on the catted X this time so I would have the incovience during inspection time and I knew it would sound a lot better than the stock one.

Im in DFW too and most places dont do a visual inspection of the cats, as long as your car isnt spitting out any codes it will pass inspection. You could also hollow out your stock H pipe and put it on so it looks like it has cats, or even weld some fake cats onto an x pipe. Also do you have any pics of your car, I just bought an 07 silver gt and wanted the same wheels you have on yours.

My wheels are American Racing 20 x 8.5 all the way around. I have a friend who works at discount tire and he gave me the wheels for cost otherwise I would have gone to www.americanmuscle.com. I also wish I would have went 20 x 10 in the rear. I will post some pics of the car for yalater . You ought to cruise out to Ennis on Friday night for Fast Friday if you have nothing going on. I will be the only pony in the pack. Im going down there with a bunch of guys from LS2.com.

I cant hollow out the cats becuase the not only do they check the codes but they use a sniffer in the tail pipe.

I have the Ford Racing headers, Bassani high flow catted X and SLP Loud Mouths...I've had more people tell me they love the sound...very agressive and somewhat loud especially when you get on it. Took me 4 times to get it right...had the Ford stingers, MAC's and Flows before i finally got this setup.
