There is little oil on the floor when the car sits for a while. I would like to replace the gasket.
Can I do this without draining the oil first?
Napa has the gasket. I would think it's correct. Even though they said it won't fit a 1993. I had to search 1985 to find it.
What is the torque spec? I've read not to use and yes to use sealant?
Thanks

You can pull it without draining the oil. It's [way] above the oil line.

Yes, I would coat the gasket with some black Permatex.

Snug. Maybe 30 inch lbs.

93? The timing cover, if it's stock, there should not be a provision for a mechanical fuel pump. Has the timing cover been changed?
Got a pick?

It's a 2005 era Ford Racing GT 40 crate motor.

Yeah, 'crate' engines likely have the 'universal ' type cover, clean up the face of fp mounting and the cover, spread a thin coat of Black RTV on both surfaces, wait a few minutes, assemble and snug up the bolts, wipe off the excess and let it sit over night or longer. Good to go, oh, one more thing, if the bolt holes go through the cover I would put some thread sealer on them.
