Well I saw a '96-98 Cobra in the parking lot at school the other day, then I saw it leave and it sounded pretty good. Today I was pulling up and we ended up parking right next to each other. We got to talking about cars. He is from New Orleans and was asking about the car scene around here and its pretty moch non-existant. So we are thinking about starting a little "No ricers allowed" club.

OT How bad would a '98 Cobra beat my '94 GT with UD Pulleys and a CAI and 315's for grip? I think he said he has 3.73's so that will just add to the beating.

from a stop up to like 70 mph you'll be able to "be there" with him, but he'll be ahead the whole time, after that hes just gonna walk away

With my mods I got owned from a roll against my friend's 98 Cobra with full exhaust. From a dig, my buddy let me use his 315s, I was "with him" up until 70 as someone else said. Aluminum heads and a Cobra intake make a big diff. Damn them.

Well, the one thing you have going for you is that 96-98 cobras are very tricky to launch. most people will either bog or spin, so that could give you a jump at the begining but he would walk you. Get that 100 shot in there and the situation changes a lot

Like everyone is saying, his CAR is faster than your CAR, but you may be a better DRIVER. It's also enjoyable outdriving a faster car.

EDIT: I would throw headers and a pipe on there with the nitrous, cats don't like nitrous, and NA it would wake up the car some.

I like to consider myself a good driver, but that may just be me being cocky, but I think Im a pretty good driver.
And i do have cat but I dont have mufflers if that makes a difference.

eh but with gears i bet it will be be easier for them to outlaunch him. with gears and radials with tokico drag struts, control arms, my buddies 96 cobra was launching right with the awd cars

that is true. gears + suspension really help the early 4Vs get off the line in a hurry...
