Yay, yay,yay! Success at last!

Edbert!! Thanks for the information!! After doing the research it appears that once again GERMANY makes the superior product! I have a guy scheduled to come to my house and install Huper Optiks Ceramic Tint on my Ragtop. This guy will come to my door and install it in my garage for $225.00!! I called ALOT of Tinters in the Tampa area and NOONE ever heard of it. "Why would you want to put a piece of pottery on your windows?" Ceramics? We never heerd nothin like that here in Floorida, are you sure they make such a new fangled thing like that? " Why don't you just put that there Llumar on your windows, it helps hide your tobacco juices when your spittin on the highway" "German window tinting? Now why would any good American ever buy somethin like that? You need to buy US Window tint feller! Get that Llumar or Solarguard! we make it here in our own country!" The US makes the best window tint in the world! German window tint always breaks down and is way overpiced and the cost of maintaining German window tint is far more than a US window tint job!! "And remember when you look thru German window tint you may experience things like The Oktoberfest, when driving that there Mustang you might think your in one of those Boksters or 913's that them Northerners drive. I hear the engines are even in the back of the car of those dumb German thangs!!

All kiddin aside it truly does appear the Germans have once again made a far superior product. When compared to the low budget standard tint that costs $80.00 for the entire car I will pay $225.00 BUT the product is FAR SUPERIOR from the info I have gathered thanks to Edbert. In particular not only does it have superior UV and Heat protection qualitys without having a BLACK window, it also DOES NOT AFFECT my Valentine 1 and my Navigation unit which needs to read 5 satellites to work properly. The low budget tints have metal in them which dramatically reduce your radar detectors range and makes your Navigation unit not function properly. Thanks again to the Engineering Geniuses from the "Fatherland"!! My Windveil Blue and Tan top car would have looked real GHETTO with the dark tint that would be needed with the low budget crap that everyone uses. Huper Optik provides better protection with ALOT LESS of a tint to the window!!

Actually, Con, Formula One's product is just as good. I did my research. Formula One's Pinnacle (all ceramic) tint at 35% (and legal here in Texas), has high optical clarity and heat rejection of 52%. There was a big disparity in price between the two. So, I emailed the Huper rep locally and this is what he had to say as to why I should buy Huper:

Dawn, I'm very glad to hear that you have been researching Huper Optik window film for your 2005 Mustang. Huper Optik is a designer window film. Created by German technology. It is very specific and controlled. One film. One company. One Goal. Using ceramic technology to insure maximum heat rejection while supplying optimum optical clarity. If you do not want a dark mirrored product on you glass, Huper Optik is your choice.
Wish you the Best,

Bottom line - one word - "designer". Is designer superior and worth the difference in price? Negatory. Oh, and I could've gotten Huper cheaper by a Mother's installer who offered to do it for me "on the side" but it wouldn't have come w/a lifetime warranty.

Get over it with the Germans, already. And yes, that is an ORDER!
