i just got my mgw shifter last night. the handle seems to be redesigned. it has two bolts that clamp it on to the lower handle. but the lower handle has threads on the top of it and looks like the pics of the first ones. did i get all the parts. my hardware bag consists of 4 bolts and lock washers and 2 nuts. the directions just say to clamp it down with the two bolts. is that all i have to do?

yes you just have to follow the directions and have a little faith

i did extensive testing on several designs over the last 3 weeks and this is indeed a SUPERIOR design. just tighten the 2 bolts down tight and you are set. it is easier to install and holds even tighter. the threads on top are only there because this handle was changed midway in the new run and some shifter shafts were already threaded. it has no impact on function whatsoever. also the good news is anybody that bought the first batch of shifters can use the new design if they want.
