Ok I installed it following the instructions to the letter however, when I hit the gas it moves forward, the brakes it moves backwards (don't know how the brakes move a shifter) over bumps it hops up and down and finally it's very notchy feels like the Hurst shifter off the old T-5.....what's up?

Sounds like you set the turns out to far and the shifter is slipping out of gear. I only turned mine out about 6 times out of the 12 max. I noticed a significant decrease in throw over stock. I would loosen that bolt again and only turn it out about half way. Then see if the problem persists. I wouldn't drive the car like that alot until you figure out what is causing that. Call them up, the guy I spoke with was very knowledgeable. Keep us updated.

On the upgrade kit I got from MGW, the max is 10 turns now...

Grab hold of it with the engine off and try to pull it up and down. If you have movement, you left the remote beam clamp bolts loose or the 2 nuts in the tranny tunnel that attach the shifter to the sheet metal of the car. If no up and down movement, try putting it in gear and lightly try pushing and pulling it, but not so much as to take it out of gear. If you have slop, you may not have the bushings in.
