Hey guys; how about some advice...I got a 96GT convert with Flowmaster catback and a K&N FIPK II so far. Now that I am ready to move on I was thinking of the Bassani Catted mid. What do you think??

Scrap the cats if you can and get an O/R "H" pipe to go with those Flowmasters!

If you have strict inspections, you're gonna need to cats to pass. If you have no inspection, then definitely go OR.

Try to find someone with that combo and listen to it first! My muscle car rumble changed to a helicopter-type of sound, not really what I expected... Of course the Bassani may sound different than my UPR, I don't really know, but there seem to be some consensus on this forum that Flowmasters and X-pipes generally don't sound that good together. I am now waiting for my Steeda Cat-back to arrive, and that would possibly cure the problem. But I also got problems with ground clearance, so I am seriously considering putting the stock H back on.

I would go with a O/R H Pipe it will sound better, if you go with a O/R X Pipe you might gain an extra 5 HP or so but it won't sound the same.

Hmmm...lots to consider...I do have to go with the cats though. I am mostly concerned with the sound that the Bassani/Flowmaster combo will produce.
