As the title says, I guess its about time (ie: uber tax refund) to pick up some go fast parts.

I brewed this, did a bunch of searches here and other places and this recipe looked do-able. What do you think? Edelborck performers (1.9/1.6), crane 2031, 1.7 rr's, tmoss lower, 42lber's, LMAF, a meth/water injection kit......probably go the tweecer route to make it all work. My Kenne Bell will sit on top of it. Wish that was all (gets expensive quick) but I'm well aware of all the bolts, gaskets and maintenance items that will have to be purchased as well.

Not looking to make a vette slayer, just some more oooomph. Kicked around the gt40/gt40p idea to save some bucks, but that got canned in my mind. Not really interested in the high end stuff, this is just a hobby. Thought about the popular AFR, custom cam route for this car, but that may go towards another project (a 66 or a Fox) later down the road. This is my daily car, but not exactly a daily driver, I have an Xterra and a Harley, plus I ride my bicycle to work every now and then. I don't have a track anywhere near me, so this is just for the blast down the uninhabited back roads.

I have the smaller KB, and understand it may run out of steam, but we'll see what happens with that. All work will be done by me. Been wanting to do this for a while now, ie few years, finally not deploying (again) this year, get to knock the dust off my toolbox

My aim here is to just run up a red flag of caution on that cam

Again ... I'm not sure
but I wanna say I've seen some say that cam is
not the best choice for a forced combo

anyway

Just check around to see if some other cam might be better for your
particular application

I've thought about a KB so many times

I have the 2031 because Crane said it will work well with a blower, but not necessarily a KB. I plan to run a vortech or procharger so it works for me. See below:

"GOOD MID-RANGE TORQUE AND HP, DESIGNED FOR USE WITH 1.7 RATIO ROCKERS AND MASS AIRFLOW STYLE F.I. ENGINES WITH AFTERMARKET INTAKE, HEADS, EXHAUST AND CENTRIFUGAL STYLE BLOWER BENEFITS BEST: 5-SPD OR AUTO W/MILD STALL CONVERTER. (50 STATE LEGAL 85-93, C.A.R.B. E.O. D-225-46) BASIC RPM 2000-5500"

Link to specs on the cam:

Thanks...
I saw another member on here, think it was 95kbcobra, had the 2031 with a KB, with some good numbers. Granted not all the variables are the same combo wise, but that is what got me thinking down that road. I've yet to make any calls to cam tech lines for their opinions, just kicking around an idea.

Don't wanna count the chickens before the eggs hatch, still waiting for said refund, then I'll be doing more homework.
