Mini Starter question

I just put a mini starter in a customers 82 GT, wired it in the way the directions tells but it doesn't engage when I turn the key. Don't even see a neutral safety switch in the car. Also, the alternator isn't wired in yet, does it have to be in place for the starter circuit to be complete?

Is it FMS starter? If so, what is the part number?

It the PA performance high torque mini starter.

Is it doing anything or is it just dead?

Got it working, turns out the factory reverse harness has a jumper wire that completes the starter circuit. I didn't have the harness plugged in yet and when I saw it I knew it would work.
