So I have started a mini tub. I have both sides cut out and one side is completely done and the other is in the final stages. I used WolfeRacecraft tub kit and could not be more pleased with their kit and also customer service!
This is it cut out

This is the picture of the one side! I Don't have pictures of it completely done.. Yet.

I'll post more updated pictures when I get a chance. I will be starting the rearend next. I'm using strange engineering for everything. 33 spline axles, spool, and I'm doing a 5/8" stud kit and their 9" housing ends. I'll be doing coil overs and rear disc conversions as well. Along with new upper and lowers and possible sub frame connectors. But I will be posting many more pictures and specs. And would love to answer any questions. Oh and this will be what I'm tucking up under her...

Very nice. I will be most interested in interior pics and where you moved the rear shock mount to.

Sweet man, some nefarious people on this site were trying to convince me to do the same thing.
I'm interested in the interior trim modifications myself.
What are those tires? 315, 335's
Are you going to roll the edges ofthe quarters?

I'm running 275/35/18 and I don't have that tall of tires... It looks like you have a whole inch more tire than I do when your looking directly at the wheel/tire. Looks great. I had continental extreme DWS all terrains. Wish they looked like that. I'm in the market for new rear tires, thought about getting the 275/40 instead this time because they weren't tall enough. Maybe I should go with the nitto summer tires... Only thing is, Tire Rack research says those don't last very long, my all terrains do. hmm.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

Have you measured the rear or mocked it up yet? With a 5" b.s. wheel you will be getting really close to having to move the lower brackets on the rear housing inward. I run a 15x12 wheel with 5" b.s. and I have about 9" cut out of the overall rear with along with relocating the lower brackets. Just a heads up.

Stop bein a wiener. Now you have this guy, as well as a few others detailing the process for the prefab kit, or mine where I split the old wheel tub, and added 1.250 to it to allow for the 315's on the monster.
It's time you stepped out of the role of paint expert, and walked in the shoes of "those that dare to tub".
The sectioned stock wheel tub on the red car allowed for a 315, and I had my back seat intact. Just ask,...I can send a bagillion pics. ( or conversely, you can just go to that build thread)

I literally laughed out loud,so much so that the wife could ask me what I was lauging at , and I'd get to say...aww nothin'.

Well, I just went back and looked. The rims were only 10" wide, but they were 7.2" back spaced. I had a smaller tire than I remembered (only 275)
But the rim.......super deep, put the tire way under the quarter after only a 1" cut off of each axle tube.
The new car has 315's on it using the same process I did on the one before, the old car just had the stock upper shock mounts moved inboard, the new car had radical frame rail notching to make a tunnel for the coil over to live in.

Since there is so much to have to sift through on my build threads, I'll just provide these "snippets"

Red car:

Huh,...imagine that,..I can only upload 10 images at a time....who'da thunk it.

You were able to keep the rear seats? How about shock mounting location?
Oops, just looked at your pictures. Hum.....Got to do some studying.
