Misfire at idle

Okay well the ECT sensor did nothing for me.

I was wondering, if the PCV valve has not been changed in a while, it could be related to detonation right?

A way to check to see if the PCV is giving you problems is this:

Loosen or remove your oil cap. Drive around underate moderate loads, and see if the problem continues or goes away. If it goes away, then your PCV is to blame. If not, look somewhere else.

If your PCV isn't filtering properly, oil might be getting into your combustion chambers. That's not good, lol. (might wanna look into an oil seperator)

Still have the problem when I tried loosening the oil cap.

But there is black smoke coming out of the tailpipes sometimes. I wonder if its burning oil? From a faulty PCV valve.

One can kind of get an idea of how bad the blow-by is by removing the inlet from the TB. If the TB blade is nasty black, that suggests some oil is making it back there.

If oil does make it to the chambers and is burned, it should indicate that the PCV system is working - if it was bottlenecked, the oil would not make it back to the intake to be reinserted into the chambers. And one might be pushing oil past seals.

Do make sure you have the mesh screen and any applicable baffles for the PCV - otherwise it will pass too much oil.

Good luck.
