that's a real clean stock looking engine bay... no wonder you miss it.

well the engine isnt very stock at all lol. its a tfs headed dss 306 with a cobra intake and an e cam, the intake i powder coated at work and its pretty close to the stock color. the engine bay was a train wreck up until last winter when i pulled the motor and fixed a rot spot on the frame rail and put in a tube k with coil overs. the motor makes 280 rwhp and 318 rwtq, that cobra intake is costing me about 20 hp so when i come home a systemax or maybe a swap to a carb is in order.

yeah iam tossing a couple ideas around right now. i have a the orginal short block sitting around so i might just drive the car they way she is and slowly build a 347 stroker. but i also have a 93 lightning motor sitting on a rim in my basement for the past 8 years so i tinkering with the idea of a carbed tfs high port headed 408 stroker with a little nitrous to make things fun down track lol. the car for the most part is done, fresh motor, engine bay cleaned up, tube front suspension, upr upper and lower control arms killer brakes. My dad is painting it for me this summer with a brandy new cervinis cowl hood. all i gotta do now is do the weather strip, and i really want some sexy wheels. though the 408 stroker is really tempting. but i also have a numbers matching boss 302 sitting right next to my lx that has been waiting for a resto for the past 11 years so i gotta get on that too. to many projects not enough time.

nah the boss is gonna be a nicely restored driver, maybe just a hotter cam and a better carb with a nicer ignition. but on the outside except for 4 wheel discs and 18 " torque thrust IIs its gonna look stock. but the 408 for the fox is a very big possibility
