I was looking over the 05 GT and on the trunk lid in the right hand corner i see a very faint (California) in script .Was there an emblem here or something someone added ? It is original paint and it looks like where an emblem was or some sort of tape

Looks like something added to me. Fords never been to emblem happy on the paint let alone the word california... little goo gone and it will look like new!

Agreed. Not even the California Special has any cursive writing on the paint.

If it was done by hand ,someone really did a good job .It looks like a very light grey ,i may just leave it .
