MM coilover and Tokico, No dust covers?

The UPS guy dropped off the kit yesterday. I have read the instructions for installation 3 times. The only thing I am not clear on is the dust covers. In the CC plate installation instructions, they say to re-use your old dust covers, unless you are installing Bilsteins, which come with their own. But in the coilover instructions, its says nothing about re-installing the dust covers. It even shows a pic of the completed assembly without them. I got new Tokico adj. drag struts with the kit, and I was just wondering if its OK to run them without the covers. Wont this void the warranty?

Otherwise, the install looks pretty straight forward. Only other thing that bothers me is I have to beat the top flanges off my new struts with a "large drift" and a BFH! No kidding, its says to put your new strut in a vise and wrap the piston with duct tape to avoid scratching it, and beat the piss out of it.

They sent me the same instructions they have on the site. You can look at the finished install and see that they didnt use the covers. I just thought they were kind of necessary to promote long life for the struts. I was thinking of trying to rig it on there somehow, but if this were a good idea they would have done it. If any of you are thinking of buying a coilover kit from MM, make sure you realize the spanner wrench is not included. I had to call them and get one over-night, cause I will prolly need to preload the springs. Thanks Stang22. Guess I will get started in the morning.
