sick car, except that chit coming out of the hood would have to go.

are you kidding, thats the whole purpose of the car, its a 5.4L motor with a blower, you would have to swap the motor for it to go.

That car was on corral like a year or two ago for 15k, i just searched he had like 4 ads, coulndt sell it for 15k so i guess now that times are tough he's asking 18, smart

yes i know what a supercharger is.

regardless of how cool it is, i'll never have anything coming out of my cut up hood.

so you would just have a hood with a hole in it

I believe at the time of the build, nobody made a cowl hood large enough to clear the blower. For the life of me, I don't know why they just didn't swap out the Eaton itself, for the rear exit model used on the Cobra to save space. It still one mean looking SOB dispite it all....but its not worth anywhere close to what they're asking for it.

I'd give 10k for that car tops and thats only b/c it has magazine coverage. if it was any other I swapped this in my friends garage type of car I'd go 7k.

You guys are going to say I'm crazy, but I'd have just cut the stock hood and left it that way. That huge cowl serves no purpose if it still can't cover the motor, and I'd rather have a huge motor sticking through the hood than have a cowl any bigger than 4". Humongous cowl hoods FTL. I love the car, though.

The car is worth all of 10k-13k, its built well, has good suspension, paint, the interior was all redone from what i remember, and its good for 10 second passes. you couldnt build that car for any cheaper.

It's an '86. Car alone is worth about $1,500. Parts paint and suspension probably ran another $9,000-$11,000 on top of that.....but that was 5 or 6-years ago when it was first built. Nobody ever gets back what they've got into their car. I've got an easy $19,000 into my Cougar and I'll be lucky if I get half that back when I sell it.

That's just the way she goes.

thats easier said then done.. the 03 cobra eaton has the intercooler feeding from the front where as the lightning one feeds from the back. easy solution would be a 2.3 whipple that has a rear exit that feeds to the side like the cobra eaton but bolts up to a lightning

It was built at JDM not someone's garage from what the ad says. but i most definetly feel you, i dont think id over pay because it was in a magazine.

it is however a nice build. and also agree with having a huge cowl and still needing to cut it for clearance, just a waste.

And I have been told a custom intake to bolt the Supercharger on. Srthis, you know alot about Lightnings, are from MD, and know Banks. JJ????
