HAHA gotcha. Just making sure. He talks about JJ alot.

You guys are going to say I'm crazy, but I'd have just cut the stock hood and left it that way. That huge cowl serves no purpose if it still can't cover the motor, and I'd rather have a huge motor sticking through the hood than have a cowl any bigger than 4". Humongous cowl hoods FTL. I love the car, though.

+1 i'd do this or make a custom rear exit on an eaton so i could fit it under a hood.

I don't think its worth what they are asking but it is worth a decent amount considering the parts on that car plus you have the whole history of the build. 10-13k is reasonable for sure.

thats easier said then done.. the 03 cobra eaton has the intercooler feeding from the front where as the lightning one feeds from the back. easy solution would be a 2.3 whipple that has a rear exit that feeds to the side like the cobra eaton but bolts up to a lightning
Why not just use have a custome base plate machined for the lower manifold that lines it up over the rear discharge side and add the Cobra rear exit blower? Issue solved.

id have to look at both blowers again... but off the top of my head its alot of custom work because of the length of the cobra blower hanging over the back of the coolent lines. like i said the 2.3 3.4 whipple and 2.6 and 2.8 KB rear exit blowers would be the easy route.

Easier and way more funn :nice: till the stock rods throw the towel in

damn right... actually if i built something like that i would have put a good set of rods in it and let the bitch eat! that or done an 03 cobra motor and never have to worry about it.

the guy who tuned my lightning has a customer with a 98 cobra running 6.20's in the 1/8 on 18" drag radials with an 03 cobra motor and a turbo... those motors if tuned right will handle a grand on race gas.
