As the title asks? The black powdercoat sounds good, but wouldn't some of it have to be ground off to weld properly?
Is so, I think I'll just go with bare steel and shoot some flat black paint of some sort afterward. Any tips, kinds of paint to use?

Thanks!

I believe most people just paint their own anyway. Im not really sure what paint to use, just look for some automotive paint, but I dont know if it really needs to be high temp paint.

I thought the powdercoating was a nice option. You still need to grind away the powdercoat where you weld them to the frame. I just used regular black krylon to pain the bare spots. I don't believe you're subjecting them to a great deal of heat. You're really just trying to keep them from corroding.
