are any of you guys running this package or a similar setup?

i talked with them this morning and this was the package they recommended. the only thing not included are upper control arms, which they recommend running the factory parts (or the ones from FRPP) due to the screwed up geometry of the original suspension. the upper control arms apparently need to stretch and with many aftermarket arms they use bearings or urethane bushing not allowing to happen. any opinions on this "kit"? anything you guys would suggest dropping or adding?

one thing i forgot to mention was i asked them wheel/tire size. he suggested running a 17 x 8 on all for corners with no more than a 245. by running this size wheel/tire package i shouldn't have any issues with rubbing. agreed? i was hoping to run somthing a bit wider but i also can live with a "skinnier" tire to not have any fitment issues.

I say go for it. Those guys know their stuff. I'm looking at almost the same setup and after looking around these are the guys to go with. Plus I'm sure Shaolin Crane will chime in cause he's got most of their catalog on his stang.

i'm sure Shaolin will pipe in here. i've talked to him a couple of times about MMs stuff. i haven't found ANY bad reviews of their pieces/parts. i was looking at doing a torque arm as well but it may not be needed, especially given the very limited track time the car will actually see. i'm sure it would make a very noticeable difference but i don't know that i would get my money's worth out of it for the $650 buy in. and like he told me, i can always upgrade to it later should i feel the need.

i did ask him about running coilovers as well. he actually recommended NOT running them for my application.

Coil overs are typically a no no for street cars

that's what he told me. apparently they are not made for severe "articulation", such as entering or leaving driveways. he also said the ride quality for the rear coilovers was very stiff.

he told me the springs that come with that setup will drop the car about an inch. he also stated that if i want some adjustablility with the rear suspension height, that i should go with the adjustable lower control arms. that will allow the ride height to be turned up or down as needed.

I have the starter box on my 91 with sn95 spindles, rangers axles, and 245/45/17's on it. Car handles much better then before, and I only get a little rub in the rear (not sure where). I do get some rub on the front rims with the control arms, so I just don't run the wheel to full lock.

i got the road and track box minus the panhard bar and steering shaft and i love it. great ride with the bilsteins and i love the springs

what made you drop those two pieces out of the "set"? or did you piece the system together over time?

You must be high, konis are no where near the level of a properly valved bilstein shock/strut
