mobile video systems

I need some advice on mobile dvd systems. My wife wants to put one in the explorer for my son, to occupy him on long trips.

I did some research and there are many different options: head rest mount, head liner mount, 6 inch screen, 8 inch screen??

I am not looking for the most state of the art set up, but I do want something that works good and is going to last. Do you guys have any opinions or experience with these units? Any products that you would stay away from? What set up is your favorite?

You can get a nice overhead unit which flips down and has a dvd player built in. That would be the easiest installation, and would probably be the cheapest way to go. A lot of these units also have the rca preouts for a playstation, xbox or whatever.
