I'm trying to decide what to get next to make some more power in my stang. I have a 5 speed 94 gt with LTs, o/r X pipe, bassani CB, MAC cold air, UDs, fresh tune up with ford racing 9mm wires and autolite 24s, and 3.73s.

I was looking into a FRPP driveshaft, SCT 4 bank chip (mail order tune), 70mm TB, or a mass air upgrade. I would love to get heads, and a new upper and lower intake but I have very limited cash (in college). Whats my best bang for the buck next mod. Any thoughts on where I should go from here would be greatly appreciated.

Mass Air and TB IMO.

Specially if you have a worn out stock Mass Air, a new one will respond/work alot better not to mention be bigger. ;)

I agree with Grady. The money you spend on a MAF and TB could most likely get you a used upper and lower intake. I bought my Trickflow set up off ebay for a little over $300. It gave me a pretty decent SOTP boost and seemed to raise my power band up a little in the RPM range. Clean your MAF if you havent yet, that will help a lot with your recent tune up.

I agree with Grady as well. If you check out craigslist.org or ebay often enough I bet you can score a used Exploder intake (Similar to the Cobra and GT40) for around $150. Or try your local Pick-A-Part. With your mods I'd expect you to gain anywhere from 10 to 15 horse from this swap and it can be done in a day

thanks for all the input. I cleaned my MAF about 6 months ago and what a F***ING diffeance!! best thing I have done so far. Any opinions on the driveshaft or sct chip? I'll save up for the upper and lower explorer intake

The driveshaft will give you minimal "power" gains as it will have a lighter rotational mass.

Of the two, the chip would give you more power. However, you will most likely have to get the chip reflashed for any additional mods you do. Just something to think about.

+1 on the intake.:nice: Saw some on Corral.net bout a week ago i would say. The guy had 5 of them. He sand blasted them and painted them silver. He wanted 150 for them. I will look and see if i can find the link to the sale for you. Btw, cleaning the MAF was the best thing for my stang so far. I cleaned it today. OMG I got my power back. The thing is like a rocket now when I stomp on the gas and no more spark knock.:)
