Mod'd Red 05(+) on the 55 at midnight.

If the guy with the blown GT who was revving and gunning it alongside me on the 55 freeway in SoCal last night is in here, two sleeping toddlers in the back of the car (we were on our way to pick mom up from work) meant all you were getting outta me was a steady 70mph. Sorry man - next time.

This is happening more and more often - some d1ck in a new Lexus (white ESblah?) was all over my tail a couple of weeks ago (eastbound 55, just before it joins the 91), dying for me to race him. Yeah, ok, buddy. I wouldn't, and he got pissy when I moved from the 2nd leftmost lane to the leftmost to pass the granny in front of me, cos that was the moment he'd chosen to plant his foot and show me how fast his car was. We both move left at the same time (only, I actually have signals on my car, and utilize them), and he ends up feet from my rear-end. Stays there for about 30 seconds with his high-beams on, to teach me a lesson.

I'm all for a little showmanship, and last nights encounter was all good - the guy probably never jumped up over 85-90, before dropping back to regular highway speed. No dangerous moves, no humping my car's a$$. BUT, when someone sits on my bumper, tries to blind me with his high-beams and generally puts my kids lives at risk, all to showboat his heavy-a$$ Toyota POS, I'm not a happy person.

Same goes for the idiot in the SRT4 a month ago on the 91, the guy in the Camry (I mean, c'mon!) last night.

To the guy in the 'stang last night  Must be the difference in hydrocarbon and rice-burner auto drivers.

I'm not on it a lot - I fly out to SF to work on Monday mornings, fly back Thursday night. I usually take the wife's Expedition home (she works near John Wayne airport), then drive my car to pick her up at midnight.

:D She was begging me yesterday to let her drive my car to work. I don't think so:nono: Just as well, too - I get in at around 2030, only to find her Exped sandwiched into a tight little spot. I would NOT have been happy to see my car in that spot!

Thats your permanent job location?????? Man and I complain about my 1 1/2 hour 24 mile commute:rlaugh:

Yeah - been doing it for 30 months now.:( It has it's perks, though - took 6 of us to NY for the weekend a while back for free, staying at the Hilton Times Square. I've earned over a million Hilton points (stay at the Hilton SF every week), and probably over 1/2 million United airmiles.

Wasn't me. LOL...

The salary structure in SF is steep compared to the majority of CA. You must have weighted the necessity of that kind of schedule for a family man with two young kids. Thanks for providing the good example of the difference between sound minded Mustang "play" and flat out Jackazsery!

I feel and acknowledge your frustration, although I must admit I am guilty as charged on more than a few occasions. Da' man has an ongoing issue with my driving and my continual "clock tower eyes" while I scope for a potential challenge. I never put anyone at risk and know my competition, so I always fund a fair safe exchange of driver skill vs. platform. After a few HPDE/HPDS events, I do not worry about my skill it is the other driver that shakes my nerves.

It is too bad others do not know the unspoken rules of on-road or highway challenge.

yeah, don't get me wrong, there's a time and a place for bit of harmful play, but if I'm not playing, don't get on my a$$ and try to blind me off the road with your high-beams. In fairness to the moron, though, he was chillin with his shades on (yes at midnight), so he prolly needed his highbeams just to make what was on the road with him:rlaugh:
