I have to ask if anyone with long tube headers has cut off the cone/inverted flare connection to opt for a slip on or in connection from header collector to mid pipe? This seems logical because the inverted cone is reduced to 2.25"outlet from a 3" collector and 2.25 seems to be restrictive in the scheme of things.
So,1: Is it worth the work to eliminate this connection
2: What about the connection at the back of the mid pipe assy.? do the same there where it is reduced?
Is there much to be gained?
