I've done a search, but haven't come up with too much information. I was thinking about trading my '96 V-6 with 160,000 miles for a '02 GT with low miles. Easy decision... but then a friend said that Ford Racing is now crating the '99 DOHC modular motor for $6,000 with the transmission and exhaust. So I got to thinking....

How much more money would it take to put a '99 DOHC mod motor into a '96 V-6 chassis?

the cost of puttig a DOHC motor in your car wouldnt be much more than putting a GT motor in it. i think the only major difference is that you need a hydraboost master cylinder instead of the one you have now (and the name of it escapes me right now.) just make sure you have the computer and rear end to back it up
