Hey, I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with all this supercharger stuff, and keep running into dilemmas after dilemmas.
First question- Is Paxton much better than Vortech? The prices on the Mongoose Kits seem to be getting better and better and the Paxton is about $500 more than the Vortech. Any ideas why that may be? How much power would an 8-9 psi kit make??
I am pretty sure I want to get the Kenne Bell 9psi, but I'm in Cali, so I'll have to pay taxes (about 8%) on a $6k product from Cali based KB. If I get a kit from out of state (which I can't do with KB), ill escape that...im pretty sure.
I like the idea of instant boost and a BEAUTIFUL torque curve, but it's getting to the point where it would be WAY smarter and economical to get a Mongoose Kit, some gears, and a higher stall to supercharge. The taxes ill be paying on the KB alone, will be enough to offset gears. Any thoughts on this?
I WILL be ordering THIS month, so if anyone with any ideas/opinions/facts/thoughts, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!
