1) 28oz is only for 351's I believe, 50oz is for all 302 block motors.
2) yep
3) dunno
4) I don't think so
5) It'd be a great idea
6) everybody likes fluidyne's radiators, that and a manual fan switch and you should be good to go. The only advantage to an electric waterpump is to free up parasitic drag on the motor, and to replace the stock one if it's going out.

You need a 28oz balancer and flywheel if you have the assembly balanced to 28oz.

I use a standard volume melling pump. Its better than a stock pump, but I don't know why

I say keep your stock oil pan and run a standard vol pump.

Might wanna get a good radiator and wire up a manual fan switch to the high side of your fan. There should be a tech thread on here on how to do that. I put an sn95 fan in my fox but mines not wired through the eec like yours. It runs off a manual switch and a 75a bosch relay. My 347 runs a little hotter than my 302 did. A new stock water pump should be fine, i'd stay away from an elec pump.

I'm going to start charging you for advice

yes sir everything but the short block still have to see what rick has to say before i go with chp.

i could def handle building a bottom end but i dont wanna wait for the machine work so buying a short block is easier.

but im going to put it all together when i get back cause when i get back i will get like 2-3 weeks of leave. so i want to try and do the whole car over
engine-347
trans-spec 2/3clutch Gforce trans
cervini 3 in cowl hood and stalker body kit
eibach sportlines
cobra r rims 17x9 275/40 rear 245/45 front

but with this motor i will wind up coming up short sooo

the motor and trans is a must.
then if i have money left over i will get some other stuff and then pay check by pay check..
i actuallly cant wait to go to iraq so i can get back and do my car up..
most people will look at pics of family and friends i will look at my car lol jk
not really tho lol

1) You need a balancer that is the same "weight" that your assembly is balanced to. If it's balanced to 28 oz., get that. If it's balanced to 50 oz., get that. For a street car, the difference between 50 oz. and 28 oz. is not going to make a damn bit of difference.

2)Yup.

3) Neither. The high volume could suck your pan dry and the high pressure could blow the bearings out. Follow Grn92LX's advice.

4) The pump mentioned by Mike should work with the stock pan. If not, buy a new one. No big deal.

5) No, you don't need to.

6) The stock waterpump (including stock pulley) will have no problems cooling that motor. The underdriven waterpump pulley isn't worth but 1 horsepower anyhow...

Well a pulley set usually comes with alternator, water pump and crank. You can leave the water pump off, the tensioner will take up the change in the belt tension. FWIW, I have my U/D water pump and crank pulleys on, but a stock alternator pulley.

You'd need a 28oz flywheel. Doesn't have to be aluminum, but IMO its the only way to go. My aluminum fidenza is a sweet piece! I run a romac light weight alum/steel sfi balancer. Its a cvnt to get on, but its lighter than a stocker and a very nice piece.

I run underdrive crank and water pump pulleys. My car will run around 190* in this hot ass summer heat.

I don't know what sfi stands for, but its approved for racing classes. It will also be a tighter fit. The pieces I suggested to you are SFI approved.
