More engine removal questions...

This is my first time pulling a motor on a 5.0.

1) I'm seeing a lot of wires atop the engine. I have disconnected the wiring harness at the two sockets by the upper intake manifold, as well as all the ground straps. Which other wires do I need to remove? There's such a jumble of wires at the top, back of the engine that I don't know what goes where and what I need to remove before pulling the engine.

2) Where should I connect the chain? Should I connect it to head bolts?

3) Stupid questions, but what's the easiest way to d/c the throttle linkage and cruise control?

Thanks!

#2 Some stockers have the factory engine lift mounts on the heads, or you can buy an intake mount. I've used both to pull the engine take your pick.

#3 pry the cable off the bottom of the throttle body lever (snaps on and off) using a screw driver, than remove the 2 bolts that bolt onto the throttle body, cruise and throttle cable will stay as one unit and remove easily.

And you can thank tmoss for the diagrams
