agreed.
try some cheap maintenance items first like the fuel filter, etc. leaner, to a point, makes more power, but is bad for the internals because leaner burns hotter, IE melted pistons hotter, but it would take alot of lean to cause that. as long as the ecu can still pull enough timing to keep knock at bay, you are somewhat safe.
id get a fuel pump(SVT Focus) and the next size up injectors(24lb?) and get it retuned. with your mods, you are bringing more airflow to the motor, though somethings telling me the stock fuel system should be sufficient for it, but maybe not in this case.
