I'm wondering what the value would be to adding a catback and induction set up to my car? Currently, I have flows welded in and due to a problem with interference with the MAF I pulled my old CAI and I'm using the stock tube between the MAF & TB with an adapter off the end of the MAF for the filter.

Mods are in my signature, but basically I have P&P heads, VT blower cams, 70MM T/B, C&L plenum, U/D pullies, FRPP shorties, Bassani catted X. I put her on the dyno and pulled 266/282 w/a rich tune ( 11.9:1 & 12.2:1 almost all the way across) - the tune is being adjusted, along with the timing - the whole tune was very conservative.

The curves were great - lost almost nothing down low and at 3200 RPM the cams and extra airflow took off - it was still making solid power when I shut it down around 5900.

So, my question is: Are the intake and catback a possible bottleneck in the airflow? I realize the plastic intake isn't helping me, but I'm not ready to tackle the bullitt intake install right now.

Thanks!

Jay

If you are running the stock h-pipe and manifolds, and you said that you already took out your CAI, then you are definitely putting a kink in that airflow. Before you go with the bullitt intake you should check out Reichard Racings intake manifold. It supposedly outflows the bullitt.
