I've been tossing around the idea of painting the raised letters on my tires since last fall after seeing a few on here...HEAVYGT So last week, I photoshopped it and loved it. Not as easy as I would've hoped it to be using DupliColor's Hot Tires. It was a slow/steady process and looks somewhat choppy up close, but from about 5' and more, I'm quite pleased!
Here are the results.

The entire car has come along so nicely..

And the background (trees, house, etc.)... Beautiful!

A guy did this on his GrabberOrange and it started to fade pretty quickly or look rather bad. I'll see if I can dig up the link so I can be more accurate. I'm not a member over there on GO.NET anymore...

Edit:

Here is where he did it: http://www.grabberorange.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2027&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=37

I like it! I think I'll just wait until I have to buy new tires and get the factory raised white lettering (I think you can still buy some like that), but I definitely like the look! And since mine is the same color as yours, I'll know exactly how it'll look! Thanks!

Looks good, I like it. I was looking at mine the other day wondering what white letters would look like.

After seeing yours, I'm not sure mine would look right since the lettering is bigger. I'm not sure it the porportions would look right with the stock BFG's.

Well I guess I'm the only one that absolutely hates it. Rest of the car looks pretty good but the white letters just absolutely kill it for me.

Looks Great Kool!

That was the FIRST thing I did to my tires when I bought the car. I loved the look of it...

...for a while...

The duplicolor turns brown/gray VERY quickly and requires CONSTANT cleaning to keep looking even half decent.

Right now, I'm counting pennies until I can get a new set of rims with RWL tires.

Again, I love the way it looks, and will look forward to seeing how yours holds up compared to mine.

I know if mine turn nasty(more than slightly discolored), I won't hesitate cleaning it off with the acetone as I won't purchase another paint pen and spend the several hours redoing it!
I didn't mind touching up my grill every few months as that was how long it would take before you'd start seeing chips from a distance, but if the tires only last days... I love the added look this gave as it adds yet another white accent to my blue/black/white theme

A agree...and to be honest (idiot music plays here) I didn't realize I could simply remove mine with acetone, and will be doing that soon!

I actually just read an article in the most recent Popular Mechanics where they are modifying a Mustang and did the white lettering. It looked really cool, so I was thinking of doing it to mine! Looks fantastic!

John, I really like the look! I can't remember the last time any of my cars had white letter tires (trucks don't count). Gonna do that on my Goodyears...
