About that unpainted hood, it is actually carbon fiber, but black hoods arent a 'rice' thing. They've been around since the dawn of auto racing, their purpose being to reduce sun glare for the driver. You may remember Mopar doing this scheme on several Hemi cars.

agreed, I myself drive around with a primored cowl hood, but that is more due to financial obligations. It is judged as a per car deal, and in this case, the carbon fiber unpainted look on a car with "r" symbols is rice in this case.
What this car is is a first REAL attempt at fixing up the new body style. Everything else so far has been pretty much artist conceptions. Trust me, when shelby and Steve Saleen get their hands on this car, we are going to look back at the early gtr model and laugh.
Im in love with this car. It is absolutely sick! I love the direction ford is going with the new mustang. The wing, hood, rims, all of it is just incredible.
Okay.. im not much for the wing.. it is more of a class-racing style wing, granted.. but it doesent flow with that car. go smaller, more "clean" and less "look at me" and it owuld be nice.. could still use a wing, but more of a glass wing or something that looks like it is <i>supposed</i> to be there.. even a stock wing with the rest of the body would be nice.
carbon fiber is funcion, not form. it takes off a good 50 lbs on a lot of cars. if ya dont like it, get ford to shoot it the same color. then quit complaining. after all, you'll bve driving a 500 HP car. who cares. i was NOT much for the interior. its gutted. could be better, even with the "equipment". plus the whole no-gauge thing is a turn off. the wheels are beautiful.
i will say that with 500 horses, 4.56 gears, and a six speed, i dont care if its lime green with purple polka dots and a wing that rivals the shelves of the library of congress. its fast, and most likely would handle like a dream.
