Motive performance Plus 3.90

Anyone here had any experience with this company? I was looking at 4.10. I think 3.90 is a good medium. Still not sure which ratio to get. I drive alot between Georgia and Florida.

i put a set of their 4.10 in my lightning and had no problem s at all.i put 4.10 richmond in my 06 mustang and got alot of gear whine.put 3.73 ford gears in and had no problem with gear whine.

what are some good places on the web or over the phone to order gears? I would like to use Motive performance plus or Ford racing. Any other companies that make a great set?

The gears are 4.10 Ford Racing. well we installed them. Checked pinion depth, gear pattern, back lash, and turning torque. Everything was to spec. The gear pattern was perfect it was text book. I go to drive the car and it sounds like crap. Its rumbling and roaring so we are going to take it apart agin to see what the problem is. Using Motorcrasft 75w140 syn with 4oz Ford friction modifier. Any suggestions would be great. The backlash was at .010 and the turning torque was set to 16in/lbs.

if its vibrating at about 55 to 70 try rotating the drive shaft. worked for me.

no it was low speed like 5-10mph I was scared to go faster than that. Something is not right

maybe a forgotten bolt, or loose bolt, bearing not installed properly....you are gonna have to pull the cover and check it out.

yeah we pulled it apart last night and the pinion was loose in the housing. Everything was tight when we installed it the first time. Maybe the crush sleeve was not crushed all the way and came loose after the car was driven. I will post if it works.

crusk sleeve was not tightened all the way. So it runs great and it is much faster. I marked the driveshaft before taking it apart and somehow my marks got rubbed off. I've got a vibration so I'm going to rotate the shaft and check it.
