Motocraft Oil Filter part number

What is it? The book on the shelf at walmart doesnt show it for a Mustang, all they have is the stupid fram filters ( which i run on my trucks......)

Id like to use all motorcraft on my car.... So whats the motocraft part number...

That might be useful for future reference. For some reason, the Fram filter for the 5.0 is slightly shorter than the one from the factory.

And the new FL820s filter is a lot smaller than in past years with the same model number.

I thought this was an FL500S? What is the difference between FL500S and FL820S?

It is the fl500s. Fl820s is not for the 5.0.

Seriously??? Can anybody confim this?

We have a vote for FL820, and a vote fro FL500.

Considering i bought a FL820 and was going to do my oil tonight....arghhh

It's a FL500S, with that since you have mixed one here is the link

Should i run motocraft synthetic or synthetic blend? Or is there even an option. I bought synthetic blend with out realizing it.

Thinking about going back to the store to get some full synthetic if they make it.

that really comes down to a personal preference....myself I don't run full synthetic only because I only drive my car 15 miles a day so by time i hit the 3K, it seems like my oil is spaced out...Plus I like the % meter of my oil life and I'm assuming it works better with nonsynthetic but don't know
