A mechanic friend of mine from work came over tonight and we started to pull my motor. I'm glad he knows what he's doing, he just flew through the whole disassembly. He made it look so easy. Needless to say the powersterring pump got the best of us for now. The one tool I don't have is an 18mm wrench and it is the only thing that will fit. Anyways everything is pretty much unbolted and ready to go. Just have to attach the hoist and give her a tug. It looks real tight with the headers still on but we're going to give it a try. I can't wait to have it yanked out. It will be nice to see something happening. I'll post some pics when I can.

Cool. I wish I had time to rip into it right now. Maybe in April when I have some holiday time coming.

Here are the pics as promised. Going a little slow right now cause my friend went out of town for the weekend. Hopefully we can get her pulled fully next week. I just tokk the intake off today but am having a bear of a time with the pulley in front of the alternator. How do you get the bolts off of a spinning pulley? I got one off but there are three to go. There must be an easier way to do this than the way I am.

Sweet. I can't wait to see what kind of numbers you can put down with that thing. Should be huge.

Here it is now . What a pain in the @#$!!!!! The steering knuckle was the worst. Goes right between two of the header tubes on the drivers side. i'm debating whether to put them back on it was such a pain. Anywho it's done. Now time for the build up.

Well the motor is down at the machine shop being clearanced and making sure the heads and block are both true. Have to take the cams down when they come in so they can clearance them with the pistons to make sure no piston to valve is occuring. Can't wait to get her back on the road!
