Hey guys brand new on here. Not even sure this is the correct place to post haha. Anyways I just bought a 02' MUSTANG GT. IT is going to be a roller since I am going to yank the motor that's in it due to the fact that it has 170k miles and a spun bearing.

My question is I plan on buying a low mileage 2v motor completely stock and I want to know what kinda mods I should get to get this car pushing around 450 to the wheels? I know it would seem obvious and easier to just buy a termi swap or a 4valve in general but financially that doesn't make since for me. Opinions appreciated!!

Additional notes: on the car currently
Mods:
-Hotckis lowering Suspension kit
-All Braided Steel Fuel Lines
-Fuel Lines Connected With AN Fittings
-Aftermarket Fuel Rails
-Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator
-Aeromotive a1000 Fuel Pump
-Fuel Cell in Tank
-Full Cold Air Intake
-Performance Professional Intake, and Throttle Body
-Ford Racing 3.55 Gear (Odometer was corrected)
-Transmission Was Rebuilt with Tremec Upgrade Kit, The upgrade kit comes with carbon synchronizers and Ford Racing Black Nitrated Gears, and the transmission is running with Pennzoil Synchromesh
-New Center-Force Racing Clutch Set, With Adjustable Clutch Cable
-Long Tube Headers with 2.5" piping all the way back to Magnaflow Mufflers
-Has Welded in Subframe Ties
-Has Tubular K Member
-MGW Short Throw Shifter, That also has Brushed Aluminum 5 Speed Shift Knob
-Has working Innovate Wide Band
-It was Tuned with Sniper Tuning Software, Tuned on 89 Octane
-Battery is Relocated to the Trunk

Oh perfect time for a teksid aluminum block with 03-04 cobra heads and your choice of supercharger and you are there. That's the best combo in my opinion. 2nd best is teksid block with 99-01 cobra heads with your choice of supercharger. Are you planning on forging your internals? 450hp comes up real fast with a dohc motor and supercharger. Also if you need a teksid block with 99/01 heads and intake complete with tb/fuel rail/ and all sensors lets me know I'll hook you up.

Totally didn't read that you are getting a 2v. If you are staying 2v then the best buy I think you can do is a low mileage 02-04 ford explorer, it's an aluminum block with pi heads. Then add some blower cams and a blower and you'll be in the 400's I just don't know how deep. My guess is 400-420ish. With all your others mods you listed.

Thanks for tha response! I actually found a replacement motor from a 03 GT with 43k miles for 2 grand. Good deal? Unless your teksid set up would be in that ball park as far as price goes.

2 grand is a lot for a 2v, even if it is low mileage. I have around 3500 in this motor. That's how much I was gonna ask. Just so I could break even. I'm gonna send you a pm with details.

This. Do this! I think I've seen mmr offering rotating assemblies for as low as 1700$ and use your stock heads with some good cams and a supercharger. Would be easy to see 450rwhp
