Hey guys. Month and a half ago or so I picked up my very first mustang. It's a 89 GT. It's a roller. Just got a motor for it. It's a 97 explorer 5.0 engine. Car has no harness or computer so it's getting a carb swap. The engine unfortunately didn't come with the accessory brackets. With that being said, do I want the explorer engine dress or the mustang engine dress? Thanks

Mustang dress

Just strip the explorer motor down to the long block, and then assemble all the accessories as an '89 Mustang

Thanks. My motor is basically stripped. Just got to with the gt40 intake off and sell it and put my intake and carb on. Time to hunt down the 89 fox engine dress

I would try to hunt down all the EFI stuff too, rather than running a carb.

If you would wanna ship and the total cost I may be interested in purchasing what you have. Car has power steering pump in it, just no bracket on motor yet

Forgive me, I don't have what I thought I did.... The intake and distributor are off of an 89, but the rest is all explorer I believe...
Sorry to have wasted your time.....
Here are some pics..

No such thing as a waste man. My foxbody guy and I are going back and forth between running Foxbody engine dress or explorer engine dress. Thinkin about the explorer ac compressor for sure though, for the modern ac refrigerant

Was thinking that or a Holley sniper kit. But that will have to wait a year or so. I'm super SUPER budget as of now just to get it on the road
