Well the new motor is on the way. Im doing this for a friend. Currently her 67 has a carb'd 302 w/ c4 tranny. The new motor is a 97+ explorer motor. I know I'll need a distributer, oil pan, and computer. What should I get the computer from? Can I re-use her stock oil pan? I was also told I "will have to tap/thread the ACT sensor into #5 cylinder on lower intake to use older computer", any insight or maybe a pic?

It is best to convert to the 89-93 Mustang wiring and computer system. You will have to use an early model front-sump oil pan. I thought the ACT sensor is already part of the intake manifold - not sure though.
