im mounting my MSD box, and i looked at other posts but it seems everybody mounts it either under the passenger seat or on the passenger tranny hump. I want to avoid mounting it on the passenger side and my drivers seat is already conveniently taken out, so is it possible to mount it under the drivers seat? any pics of how this was done?

I have mine in the fenderwell. I removed the inter plastic well and found plenty of space. That puppy generates plenty of heat that I didn't want in with me.

You can mount it in virtually any position you prefer and have adequate space. It's all a matter of installation difficulty. Mounting under the driver's seat is no different than the passenger side. Just ensure that you have proper grounds and have adequate insulation.

Don't the instructions say to mount it in a place that gets plenty of air running over it? I would think it might overheat if you put it under the driver's seat. Install is a snap if you have the TFI quick install harness that is available for them. You just have to run the wires to the coil/solenoid/ground and you are good to go.

should be possible. ive seen it under the pass seat and under the hood. under the hood is hotter then the inside of the car. so under the drivers seat is no prob.

The only installation recommendations from MSD request you do no mount the unit upside down or in an enclosed space such as a glovebox. I've never noticed heat to be an issue inside the vehicle. I mounted my box beneath the glovebox on the passenger side firewall and have no problems.
