Moving to Dallas/FT... Emissions?

Hey guys I just finished college and got an offer from American Airlines to move to Dallas/FT!!!

Anyone here living in that area???

I have an 2001 Bullitt with OR H-pipe now with mills, I heard that all they do during emissions check is check your Check Engine Light....
is that true??? Will I pass emissions????

You should be fine. For cars with the OBD port, they just plug into it and make sure there are no codes and thats about it.

You'll be fine as long as your check engine light isn't on

Yeah, they just plug you in. 2001 and newer cars are plugged in and have a different test I think. You can google it and find the exact emissions criteria they look for. Welcome to Dallas!

As others stated. They just plug into the OBD2 port, check the gas cap, tires, brakes etc....

If you know someone who still lives in Miami then just keep it registered in FL and you won't have to worry about it.

Also, they put 2 large stickers on your front window and TX law requires front plates as well! (Not that everyone sticks to this rule....)
