With stock gears? Yea, definitely, although probably not on a regular basis. Add in a little city driving, or just a couple of lead-foot bursts, and it'll ease on down in to the 24-25 range.

I've personally gotten 26 on his vert several times, even though it was at up around 75 mph for the entire trip. I'm sure that a 5 speed with stock gears at <70 mph will get 26-27+. Heck, I've gotten 28 a couple of times on my heavily modified (though still stock 3.27 rear gears) automatic GT. Those were trips with 99% highway driving at 60-65 mph.

I used to average 26 mpg highway with 3.73s. I even got 31 mpg once by setting the cruise control to 55. These cars are efficient if driven frugally.

I am getting 24-26 at 75mph with a 5 speed. I would think if you were going 65 you could get 27mpg. For a V8 car thats really good IMO.

5 speed w/ stock gears and cams/full boltons. Averaged 27-28mpg on a 1000 mile trip averaging about 70mph with all the speed limit changes on the interstate through different cities/towns.

i get crappy city mpg, but good highway. Mostly because i like the sound of my exhaust too much so i like to rev it up a little. I really dont see much difference with the top up or down.

I have all the bolt ons, 4.10s and an auto and I still get 25mpg on the highway.

Not with the top down tho!!!!!

I get about 25 on the highway with a few bolt ons including JLT ram air. On regular every day driving I get much worse but thats probably just because of the way I drive it
