Mr Freeze..Anyone Heard of This?

I have heard from Anderson that it works really well and their dyno tests prove it. I know for a fact that AFM doesn't BS or fluff any of their products. I just wish they would change their colors. Im not a fan of the purple and yellow..barf.

That is pretty interesting and cheap for 90 hp.

I wish i had a supercharger.

I should really shut my mouth and start making these kits because people seem willing to pay way to much for them.

A friend of mine has the Mr. Freeze on his 92 GT with a Vortech T-Trim pushing 18 psi. With that kit, he is able to safely run that much boost and on his 347 stroker with the T-trim and Mr. Freeze, he turned 680 to the rear wheels (sorry, I don't know a before # to compare to without the Mr. Freeze, but I think he always has to run it on his car to avoid detonation, so I don't think he did a dyno run without it.) Anderson's kit as you said uses windshield washer fluid that contains methanol, and from what they described to the friend of mine, it is safe because the supercharger atomizes the fluid before spraying it into the intake, therefore it is not really a liquid, but a chilled gas. I think they are worth the money for sure, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg to refill!

a friend of mine just went from 575 to 612 with a metanol inj, i say those number seem to make it worth while

As I said I SHOULD start making them. Listen guys don't waste your money! I had a good friend make kits for Neon SRT's for a period of time and what goes into them isn't much and can easily be fabbed together for less then 75-150$ tops!!

Also to add some tech to this post. The biggest concern of where to have the nozzle is how well it can atomize. If it doesn't break down into a fine mist it can cause the leading edge of the fins (be it turbo, blower etc) to rust and break down over time. Also meth\alcohol is not good for certain kind of blower blades. (It depends on the type of coating they have on them some types of teflon I believe? do not favor this.)

Also for the guy who was asking about doing it on a N/A mostly stock car. I’ve heard people claim they get better gas mileage with the water injection how true that is, is well debatable. Now undebatable is how clean it makes the intake, heads, combustion chamber. The CC on my friend’s car where very clean very little Carbon build up!

I’ll be doing water injection on a grassroots project of mine soonish. I will use a windshield wiper bottle, extra windshield wiper pump (maybe a extra fuel pump I have and a extra injector if I feel like trying it out.), on/off switch, and a fine mist nozzle. Pretty simple. It’s on a race car so not much need for it to be on/off during normal driving.(turn it on while racing off while in pits) If you want to get more elaborate it isn’t hard to add a pressure activated switch so the spray comes on at Xpsi. This is how my friend did the SRT kits. Of course from what I’ve seen most people don’t want to take the time to do it themselves and are happy to pay big bucks for this kind of thing!

AFM wouldn't sell the kit if it was bad to spray into the Vortech housing....simple as that.

You will, however, need a tuning device to take advantage of the Mr. Freeze kit.
