MS cranking parameters

QUick question for all you MS users.

During crank, does your RUN condition = Y as well?

Everything i read suggests this should be N until RPM exceeds my crank threshold. However every value i try still gives me a Y during crank.

Is this typical?

It should be Run: N and green when cranking. Is it datalogging rpm while cranking as well?

What kind of ignition system are you running?

Stock ignition. It's the plug and play MS3 unit so no wiring changes were made. I am logging RPM but no matter what configuration I select it still shows Run:Y during crank.

Engine starts and runs fine..was just an interested observation.

That is odd. The crank/run threshold should be roughly 200rpm above actual cranking rpm, I'm sure you've tried and verified that setting already.

Yup. I've set it to 1500RPM just to see. Cranked it with the fuel pump off and coil wire pulled. Still says Y for RUn when i'm clearly in crank.
