i dont know if they hook any better than the BFGs, but I dont think you could go wrong with the MT's. If you can get them for a cheaper price than the BFGs, I would say go for them
With the Bridestone Potenza RE730 345/45/17 I used to run, and the mods listed in my signiture, I would spin the tires from first to second at 2/3 throttle. With the Nitto DRs inflated to 22 psi, I can floor it from a dead stop with no spin. With 27 psi, I get a small amount of wheel spin.
So I suggest Nitto DR for the street hot rodder and occasional drag racer, and BFG or MT for the serious drag racer with a highly modified vehicle.
