Hello all....
Im actually in the process of purchasing a catback system. I currently have the BBK O/R X-Pipe. With the stock mufflers it sounds horrible between 2000 - 25000 RPM's, kind of like its shooting BB's, lol. Anywho, I had same mid pipe along with Flowmaster catback on my 94 GT, so going that route again.
I am going with the catback instead of buying just the mufflers and having them welded in for a few reasons.
1)I had a shope weld on my SFC's and I was'nt exactly thrilled about the bead. Sooo, I don't know of a very good welder, although everyone like to think they are around here.
2)I normally do all my own work, so installing the catback does'nt bother me at all.
3)It basicly comes down to quality and craftsmanship with me. I want it done right. I know for a fact it's done right if I purchase the catback.
So for me it's not about the "bling" or about saying I have a pure Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla, etc. system. It's more about peace of mind. ALTHOUGH...if you DO know a good shop and know that they are good welders, then by all means, purchase just the mufflers and have them welded in. Unfortunately I havent found a good shop for the right price yet.

I didn't buy Borla, just to say I have Borla, I picked it becuase I loved the sound, if you don't believe me, then that's your problem. I guess the one thing that I think is that you should spend your money and do the things you want to your car for YOU, not anyone else. Not many people here would put in the time and money and weight for that matter of the audio equipment that is in my car, most would rather go for power. But I did it because I wanted a nice high quality audio system, i'll deal with the weight, it makes me happy. Some people want a stripped down race car, and that is fine and great, I want one later too, but for my DD, I'd rather have the comforts. Sigh, to each, his own.
